Join a thoughtfully appointed, supportive private practice located in the heart of Toowoomba City.
Forrest Psychology is seeking an experienced and compassionate General or Clinical Psychologist to join our established private practice as an independent contractor on a service-fee arrangement.
This position is well suited to a psychologist seeking a calm, professional, and well-presented therapeutic environment with strong administrative support and an existing referral base — allowing you to focus your energy on meaningful clinical work rather than the demands of running a practice alone.

About the Practice
Our clinic offers:
Thoughtfully appointed therapy rooms designed to feel calm, private, and professional
A spacious staff room and kitchen area for clinicians to decompress between sessions

Full administrative support including bookings, billing, Medicare processing, and management of client enquiries

As an independent contractor within the practice, you will have the flexibility to shape your own caseload and areas of interest while benefiting from:

We welcome psychologists with experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, or specific clinical presentations. Clinicians with established special interests are encouraged to apply.
Clinicians who have recently achieved general registration are welcome to apply.

Applicants must possess:
General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
Eligibility to provide psychological services under Medicare
Professional indemnity insurance meeting current regulatory requirements
Current ABN
Eligibility for provider numbers
A commitment to ethical, evidence-based, and client-centred practice
Ability to deliver psychological interventions through the use of a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A commitment to developing genuine therapeutic connections through warmth, authenticity, and respect
Experience working independently within private practice or comparable settings
The following would be viewed favourably:
Clinical endorsement
Experience in private practice
Additional training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as EMDR
Existing referral networks or special interest areas
Structure
This role is offered under an independent contractor service-fee arrangement.
